Holiday Youth Convention 08 - Friday Night

One of the BEST Friday night services in HYC history has just come to an end. During the SFC Awards Service the top giving churches were recognized for their sacrificial giving. We also kicked off the Sheaves For Christ 2008 Campaign - Join the Story. Click here to visit the SFC website. Our Texas District SFC Goal for 2008 is $225,000.00. A great presentation and tribute was made in honor of Youth Secretary Ennis Fuller and his family. He is retiring from his position after serving 5 years as secretary and three years as section 4 director. They will genuinely be missed on the committee. Pastor Joel Urshan preached a masterpiece and God did it again! He powerfully preached a message entitled, "The Devils Are Trembling." They tremble because they know that Apostolic young people have the power of God in them! Lives were changed and again many students received the Holy Ghost! The Late Nite at the pavilion was cool! There were so many people out there tonight! It was amazing. I can't wait until next year! I know it will be even better! I feel like young people will go home with something new and life changing from this years HYC, and in return help change their world!

Holiday Youth Convention 08 - Friday

Our Friday morning service and split sessions have just concluded and they were incredible!! The one and only Jessie McMahon challenged the J/H students to make sure and "Know Your Enemy". Know what he temps you with, know his tactics, so you will know how to battle against him! Matt Tuttle challenged the S/H students to get a passion for revival, and passion to live their life for Christ...after he finished the alters were full of students!! Our awesome Youth President challenged a packed out executive dining hall crowd of Youth Workers, about being apostolic! Not just having the form, but having the function! TBC Instructor Ron Wofford challenged the College and Career session to stand for the absolutes of God's Word. Many students and youth workers left the split sessions with a changed mind set and motivation to better themselves in Christ and to do more for His Kingdom. Youth Secretary Ennis Fuller blew the socks off the HYC crowd in our Friday morning service! He preached "Keep Shooting The Arrows." He challenged the students to get direction from their pastor, but in the end it is up to them to release the arrow...again the alters were packed out and we had a great move of God during the altar service.

Holiday Youth Convention 08 - Thursday Night

The first night of HYC 08 has just concluded and it was awesome! The theme this year is STAND. Youth President Michael Ensey gave the keynote address and challenged the youth of Texas to stand and be counted. The power of the Holy Ghost engulfed the whole tabernacle from the very first song all the way to the alter call! Joel Urshan preached a dynamic message entitled, "Release the Dove." Students packed the alter! Many of them received the Holy Ghost for the first time! It was a great way to start Holiday Youth Convention 2008! Late Nite at the pavilion was cool. Good times. Great fellowship. Groovy music. Wow!! The basketball court....it's sweet. You have to check it out. Thank you youth committee and Into His Marvelous Light Bible Study. The Students loved getting their HYC game on the new court!
